It’s been a rough season for Saints running back Chris Ivory both because of his poor performance during pre season practices and lack of play time during the regular season.
Ivory, at one point, was questioned whether he’d request a trade because of his lack of usefulness. Saints fans should be grateful that wasn’t the path chosen by Ivory.
During Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, Ivory had a 56-yard run against the Falcons showing tremendous speed and agility, while freeing himself up on the sideline and finishing his run with a stiff-arm to Atlanta cornerback Dunta Robinson.
In all essence, Ivory practically relied on Saints running back Darren Sproles to get injured. This is the reason he became active once again.
All things to consider, the Saints faculty needs to revamp their run game and include power players such as Ivory.
