Porter’s reunion with Saints may be delayed

Many Saints fans are excited to see this Sunday’s match-up with the Denver Broncos because of two reasons. The quarterback duel between Drew Brees and Peyton Manning; and seeing Tracy Porter face his old team. Porter, however, has still not been cleared to play against the Saints because of seizure-like symptoms.

He was held out of their game last week against the San Diego Chargers because of light-headedness and a racing heart.

Porter said he experienced his first seizure ever in August and felt the same symptoms before the team flew out to San Diego.

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox said that he is still being evaluated by doctors so that they can figure out how to deal with Porter’s issues. He did not sound optimistic about him starting against New Orleans.

Porter tweeted,

"I would like to thank EVERYONE for the prayers and wishes. It really means a lot to me.  – Tracy Porter"

While this should give Drew Brees an easier time passing on Sunday, Saints fans hope that Porter has a speedy recovery and return to the field.
