After suffering an ankle injury a week and a half ago against the San Diego Chargers New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham left in a walking boot and into the bye week to try and heal.
Rumors began to circulate as to his status coming into practice for yesterday and the favorite target of quarterback Drew Brees sat out but was said to “look good” by interim head coach Aaron Kromer.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports on SportsCenter though that there is “not a lot of optimism” about Graham being able to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday.
While things could change between now and then, if Graham isn’t ready to go then the Saints will hold out on putting him into the game where he could only injure himself further and be out for a longer period of time.
