In what could be considered an annoyance to opposing teams visiting the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel seems ready to embrace a three-year tradition when he faces off against the New Orleans Saints this Sunday.

The tradition being referred to is the hearing the all familiar song “Stand Up and Get Crunk” by the Ying Yang Twins that is played after a Saints touchdown.  Cassel told local media in a conference call that he’s ready to “get crunk”.

"I know it’s a great atmosphere and I’m looking forward to hearing that song that comes on, (from) the Ying Yang Twins when I get there.  I keep hearing about it."

Cassel is one of the select few that seems to enjoy the song since Saints fans dance and sing along at the lyrics with everybody pointing at the Saints opponents bellowing out part of the chorus, “Here we come to get you!”

The song was played during the 2009 season which the Saints rode to a Super Bowl victory and has stuck ever since.  At the beginning of this season, some thought that the song should be changed and was getting “old”.

However, it was belted out when the Saints scored their first touchdown of the season and looks like it’s here to stay this year.  After the Saints 0-2 start this season, they really need something to “get crunk” about and a victory over the Chiefs could do just that.
