July 28, 2012; Metairie, LA, USA; New Orleans Saints defensive end Will Smith (91) during a training camp practice at the team
New Orleans Saints linebacker met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and league officials yesterday in reference to his season-long suspension which seemed to go well at first, but then took a turn at the end. Anthony Hargrove, Will Smith, and Scott Fujita were supposed to meet today as well, but with a change of plans.
While Smith and Hargrove arrived at the league office in New York City today, Fujita had to reschedule his meeting with Goodell. The Cleveland Browns linebacker was going to do the meeting via teleconference since he wanted to stay in Cleveland to rehad his injured knee.
However, the league requested that Fujita do a face-to-face meeting which when it will be remains unknown. This could mean that something is going to transpire for Fujita that won’t be good since they wan’t a personal meeting.
At the time of 1:40 p.m. CT, Smith and Hargrove have been in their meeting for 90 minutes now. While being in there that long would normally be a positive sign, keep in mind Vilma’s was almost three hours and we saw how that turned out.
