With the 2012 NFL Draft less than two weeks away, New Orleans Saints fans will have to wait until Friday, April 27th to see who the team will pick.  Since the team was stripped of their second round draft choice, we’ll start with their third round choice.

Third Round(Pick 89)–Billy Winn, Defensive Tackle(Boise State)

Winn is a former high school wrestler and power lifter who is gaining ground leading to the draft.  He is very athletic and can play run as well as get pressure into the backfield with a straight bull rush.

He has a very high motor and doesn’t give up on the play.  The only downside is that he can struggle a bit with double teams.  The plus side with Winn is that he can play defensive tackle or defensive end if needed.

Winn finished his four year career at Boise State with 133 tackles with 36.5 for a loss and 16 sacks.

If Winn falls to the Saints at Pick 89 they will be extremely lucky and should snag him.

Alternate pick:  Mike Martin, Defensive Tackle(Michigan)
