Billy Winn(Boise State):  Winn had a 2011 season where he registered 33 tackles with eight for a loss, one pass deflection and three sacks.  His presence at Boise State will be missed this year.

Winn is another big framed guy who has speed and can shed blockers.  His high motor and energy will serve him well in the pass rush and run defense.  He’s projected to be a second round pick at this time.

Brandon Thompson(Clemson):  Thompson finished 2011 with 46 tackles with 7.5 for a loss, a forced fumble, and 2.5 sacks.  He was good at Clemson in stopping the run and also getting attention for double teams.

While Thompson was not known as a pass rush threat, he was credited with having a team high of 17 quarterback hurries and comes off the snap quickly.

Thompson could be plugged in to the nose at 314 lbs. and gain some more mass, or lose some to be a strict tackle.  He’s projected to either go late into the first round or a possible late second round pick.
