Jack Del Rio replacing Gregg Williams as DC of the New Orleans Saints?

New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams could be on the move whenever the season ends, but for now his attention is directed to the divisional round of the playoffs where the Saints will face the San Francisco 49ers this Saturday.
The possibility of Williams leaving the Saints has nothing to do with his coaching abilities, or because he has fallen out favor with head coach Sean Payton.
Instead his future with the Saints has been tied to the future of former Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher.
Fisher has been courted heavily by both the St. Louis Rams and the Miami Dolphins to fill their head coaching vacancies as both are searching for new leadership.
The Rams parted ways with Steve Spagnuolo last week after he was only able to manage a 10-38 record over three seasons in St. Louis.
As for the Dolphins they had all but pushed out Tony Sparano last year, but rare winning streaks continued to buy him some time before he finally got the chop this past December.
It’s presumed that Fisher will be taking the Rams job over the Dolphins.
However a new report surfaced today that seemed to buck that belief and instead declared Miami as the front runner.
At least two analysts believe Fisher will target Gregg Williams — ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora — who have reported Williams is the favorite to become Fisher’s defensive coordinator wherever he lands.
