New Orleans Saints DC Gregg Williams could be headed to St. Louis

In a rumor that started gaining some steam yesterday, several NFL analysts think New Orleans Saints Defense Coordinator could be headed to the St. Louis Rams at the end of the postseason.
The man credited with bringing a struggling Saints defense together for the 2009-2010 season, is being mentioned as a possible candidate for the defensive coordinator job for the St. Louis Rams.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Jason LaCanfora have both stated that they believe if Jeff Fisher becomes the new head coach of the Rams, then he will heavily recruit Williams for the job.
One reason that is being cited is that both coaches were together during their tenure with the Tennessee Titans and that there is a “history” together between the two.
A very similar rumor started about this time last year with Williams being considered for the head coaching position for the Denver Broncos. Williams was actually contacted but turned them down saying he had more to do in New Orleans.
In a twist of irony, then Saints secondary coach Dennis Allen was hired by Denver to become their defensive coordinator and the Broncos defense has exploded since then.
