Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Houston Texans: The Bucs dropped a decisive win against the Saints last week and host the Texans this Sunday. The Bucs at 4-4 will try to stay alive in the division and not go backwards.
The Bucs have added DT Albert Haynesworth after he was waived by the New England Patriots earlier in the week. After being gashed in the rungame last Sunday, the Bucs are hoping Haynesworth will stand up to the Texans who love to run the ball with running backs Arian Foster and Ben Tate.
The Bucs offense face a worthy Texans defense, but QB Josh Freeman seems cool under pressure and can still deliver strikes. If the offensive line can give him time, he’ll want to redeem last weeks loss with a vengence. RB LeGarrette Blount had little impact against the Saints but should bounce back on Sunday.
Texans QB Matt Schaub has thrown only six interceptions this season with thirteen touchdowns. He needs to be careful against the Bucs secondary though since CB Ronde Barber has been playing well lately.
Schaub will once again be without WR Andre Johnson as he misses his sixth consecutive game with a hamstring injury. But with Foster and Tate in the backfield, the Texans shouldn’t be ailing too much.
My pick for the winner: Houston Texans
