Quick-take: Offensive guard Roger Allen was signed to the Saints practice squad in September after being cut from the Rams. He would spend the entire season on the scout team. (He was signed to the active roster on January 13th, common practice for teams heading into the off season.)
Before joining the Saints Allen spent just one season with St. Louis in 2009 after signing as un-drafted rookie free agent. He started two games after starting left guard Mark Setterstrom injured his triceps.
