New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham The Player To Watch in 2011

Graham, a third round pick out of Miami had a solid rookie season behind former tight end Jeremy Shockey (now with the Panthers). When the injury bug hit Shockey, Graham stepped in and was instantly a contributor to the Saints already potent offense.

At 6-7 and 270 pounds, Graham provides an excellent target for Brees in the redzone. If Colston and Graham are on the field together in redzone packages, the Saints will more than likely have a mismatch.

In 2011, the Saints could have the best redzone offense in the league.

Graham is also fast for his size. On Gruden’s Camp last August, the former coach said about Graham, “I like this Graham kid. He is 6-7 270 and runs like a deer.”

Sean Payton wasn’t the only scout that saw the potential Graham has. Payton eventually would say by mid-season “The only thing holding [Graham] back is me.”
