Saints CB Tracy Porter Likely Has Torn ACL

Tracy Porter was carted off the field in the third quarter of the Saints win over the St. Louis Rams, his head buried in his hands was an indication of what Porter knew and that was his knee was seriously injured.

A freak accident Porter was injured in a collision with teammate Usama Young and it was immediately apparent that it was severe.

The Saints have yet to make an official statement regarding Porter’s condition but it has been reported by sources close to the team that it is indeed an ACL tear, a season ending injury.

An MRI is scheduled for Monday to determine the full extent of the damage.

Porter has 3 interceptions this season, one of which he returned for a touchdown against the Dolphins.
