New Orleans Saints Undrafted Rookie Profile: Brandon McCray

Brandon McCray (#96) is a defensive tackle from Louisiana-Lafayette who the Saints signed as an undrafted free agent.
The 6’5″, 318 defender from Merritt Island, FL played in 36 games as a Ragin Cajun but didn’t put up exciting numbers: 40 total tackles, 5 TFL and a meager half sack.

McCray is a huge man but he struggled to properly use his body to consistently win the battle at the line of scrimmage.

The Saints already have two players to play nose tackle, the overpaid veteran Brodrick Bunkley and the promising sophomore John Jenkins. I think they’re set there.

It’s gonna be hard for McCray to find a spot on the Saints’ roster but if he shows some improvement under Rob Ryan he might end up on the practice squad.
