The NFL has released the 2014 NFL preseason schedule, and it’s on time like they said it would be! There are 65 games set for the preseason, and the New Orleans Saints have four of them.
Here’s how the Saints matchups look:
Week 1 (August 7-10) | at St. Louis Rams
Week 2 (August 14-18) | Tennessee Titans
Week 3 (August 23) | at Indianapolis Colts (CBS, 7PM CST)
Week 4 (August 28) | Baltimore Ravens
Last year’s preseason opponents were all AFC teams, as the Saints hosted the Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs, and traveled to play the Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans. The team would finish 3-1.
The preseason is always a great time to watch football, as it introduces you to players you aren’t as familiar with. For the Saints, rookie running back Khiry Robinson, wide receiver Andy Tanner, defensive lineman Jay Richardson, and rookie offensive lineman Tim Lelito were just some of the names to grow with Who Dat Nation as the preseason progressed.
The biggest storyline from the preseason games might belong to the Saints playing against former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams in the opening game against the Rams.
The first matchup of the preseason will start on Sunday, August 3 at 7PM CST with the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. The Buffalo Bills will face the New York Giants.
