New Orleans Saints | Affa Androids

Have you ever wondered what teams would be like if they were in the world of Star Wars? Well, thanks to John Raya, a creative director/art director/illustrator out of Mexico, your dream just came true.

I present to you the New Orleans Saints, or the Affa Androids in the Star Wars Universe.

As per Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wiki, Affa is a heavily mechanized planet. They were responsible for producing the protocol droid, C-3PO, a century before activation on Tatooine. Androids were built to resemble humanoids. Droids in itself were robot mechanical beings built with artificial intelligence. They were also used in fields that required extensive specialization and knowledge.

While there is a laundry list of different droid classifications, it seems fitting for the Saints to fall into the droid category. While C-3PO may not be the most exciting or terrifying logo, it is certainly recognizable, much like the fleur-de-lis the Saints sport.

If you didn’t notice, be sure to check the helmet straps, and the logo around the facemask. Quite sneaky! I wonder if we’ll see any representation of players as droids soon? That might be interesting.

Great job John Raya! This is an outstanding display of creative talent! Be sure to give his pages some love, and ‘Appreciate This’. It definitely tickles our ‘inner nerd’.
