Rafael Bush Fined For Percy Harvin Hit

Rafael Bush has a little less in his pockets after today, after the NFL fined Bush $21,000 for his shoulder-to-helmet hit on Seahawks receiver Percy Harvin.

The hit looked far worse in real-time as opposed to slow motion, as it seemed Bush decapitated Harvin.

The play drew a flag for a personal foul, stating that Harvin was a defenseless receiver. Rafael Bush was long remembered for his hit against Patriots wide receiver, Danny Amendola, for his viscious hit back in Week 6, which did not draw a flag.

“It was a bang-bang play,” Bush said. “He was running the ball, and he kind of ducked his head, and I kind of ducked my head.” -Bush on Amendola hit, stating there was no intent to injure

Harvin, who sustained a concussion, is ruled out for Sunday’s vital matchup against the 49ers. Injuries just continue to tag on for Percy Harvin, who the Seahawks paid a hefty price for.

As for Bush, the physical presence and improved seasons are making a case for the Restricted Free Agent. With the futures of veteran safeties Malcolm Jenkins and Roman Harper in question, Bush could at least earn the third safety spot for the 2014 Saints.

Expect Bush to appeal the fine.
