#23 - Shayne Graham, Kicker

We have to start somewhere, so I chose Shayne Graham. There’s no denying that he was put into a tough spot when the Saints parted ways with Garrett Hartley. Graham would make all of his kicks, including the one that broke the Saints misfortune in road playoff games, but then against Seattle, he would miss two field goals, which is always one of those ‘what if’ type scenarios. He played well (6/8 Field Goals, Long of 46 yards), but at 36, look for the Saints to go a different direction by drafting a kicker, or looking to lure in someone via free agency (Hauschka, Gano, Carpenter, Folk to name a few).

2014 Outlook: Given the things I said above, I believe Graham will not be resigned, and the Saints will look to solve their long running woes at kicker via the draft or free agency.
