The New Orleans Saints issued their final injury report today for the game against the Seattle Seahawks.

QUESTIONABLE

RB Pierre Thomas (Chest)
DE Akiem Hicks (Ankle)

PROBABLE

T Terron Armstead (Knee)
CB Keenan Lewis (Head/Neck)
G Jahri Evans (Ankle)

For the Saints, Armstead was a full participant of practice today. Thomas and Hicks were both limited.

Should Hicks not be able to play for any reason, that would leave the Saints with a huge hole on defense. Hicks has been a huge asset to the pass rush, and run stop. Undrafted rookie free agent Glenn Foster is officially listed as Hicks backup. Tom Johnson and Tyrunn Walker would also be potential backups.

Not having Pierre Thomas didn’t necessarily hurt the Saints last week. However, given the team will look to have some success in the passing game this time around, that will be where Thomas would be missed most tomorrow, assuming he doesn’t play. He is an extremely strong pass blocker.

Because of the importance of this game, it’s hard to imagine that Hicks won’t play. We’re not sure as far as Thomas goes.

The Saints and Seahawks will be the first game for tomorrow’s Divisional Weekend, and we will get the official inactive list around 2 to 2:30 PM CST.
