Marques Colston Goes Nuts

Remember when everyone asked what was wrong with Marques Colston? Remember when everyone was thinking how washed up & old he was, and that the Saints should just move on? Shame on all of you. I remember happily defending Colston several weeks ago when we started with Dallas, stating that he was due to play some of his best football.

Well, he came through in a huge way for the Saints last night, finishing with 9 receptions on 13 targets for 125 yards, and 2 touchdowns (6, 15). Colston continues to be Mr. Reliable in the clutch, getting his first 100-yard receiving game since Dallas, which also is his second of the season.

For the season, Colston has 81 catches for 721 yards, and 4 touchdowns. He’s quietly flirting with another 1,000-yard season.
