Carolina Panthers a Threat to New Orleans Saints?

Are the Carolina Panthers a threat to the New Orleans Saints in the NFC South?

It’s a simple question with no real answer. The Saints sit at 9-2 while the Panthers are right behind at 8-3 and riding a major win streak.

Carolina has an elite defense it has been able to ride, which surely matches up well with the Saints offense. The Saints and Panthers still play twice this season for NFC South supremacy, once in Week 14 and again in Week 16.

The good news is the Saints have a stellar defense that ranks great against the pass and in the top half of the league against the rush. The offense gets the publicity in New Orleans, but when the two sides meet, it’s a safe bet the game will come down to defense more than anything.

We’ll dive deeper into the matchups as they approach, but for now we want to know what you think. Are the  Panthers a legit threat to the Saints in the NFC South? How will their two matchups play out?

I’ve been worried about this match up for 3 weeks…i know we have a great record in the dome but the carolina game is now nationally televised. carolina would LOVE to make a statement announcing that they’re for real

Carolina has already proven themselves TWICE in the past 3 weeks; against SF and NE. Sure, they fight every week to keep proving they’re “for real,” but this game is different. This game they won’t just be trying to give themselves another W against another great team. This game they’re fighting to claim the NFC South. Carolina is basically going to have to sweep NO in order to take it (which is going to be VERY hard to do), and that’s where their passion is.

The panthers are going to ride their winning streak, good over defense , and my boy cam newton all the way to the playoffs.

The Panthers will lose both games. The one in NO will be by 2 TD’s and the one in NC will be by 3 points.

I am glad to see another NFC South team in the hunt. It makes the season that much more special. Moving the game to national audience helps the Saints. Panthers have an 8 game winning streak in the season. However, the Saints have a 13 game streak in prime time games. Lets see if we can keep it up this Monday in Seattle. should be great!

Brees is gonna go off on Carolina in the Dome! That’s what he does! We all know the Saints are unstoppable at home, and now the game is in prime time?! Good luck Newton. You and your fellow kitties are gonna get a good dose of reality.
