San Francisco’s game plan is easy to predict: run the ball, eat the clock and leave Brees on the bench. Rex Ryan and the Jets did it and won the game. Bad news: John Harbaugh has all the weapons to execute this plan. Good news: Rob Ryan knows it and will be prepared (hopefully). Despite Ryan’s preparation I don’t think the defense will be able to shut Frank Gore down completely and the veteran running back is going to have a good game. He is real fantasy gold: Gore has seven consecutive games with 70+ rushing yards and six touchdowns in those seven contests.
Colin Kaepernik is having a rollercoaster season and the matchup this week isn’t great, as Nfl.com’s Michael Fabiano reports:
It’s pretty tough to bench Kaepernick in leagues, but you should keep in mind that this week’s battle of NFC powerhouses is anything but attractive. In fact, New Orleans’ defense has surrendered the fourth-fewest fantasy points (10.1 PPG) to opposing quarterbacks at home this season.
