Thoughts from Ian

Colts over Titans

That loss to the Rams was an aberration last week due to the outstanding performance of rookie Tavon Austin. Luck and company face the Titans this week who just lost to arguably the worst team in the NFL. Andrew Luck needs to perform in this game if there is to be any speculation of a legitimate playoff run.

Jets over Bills

These teams are both particularly feisty and feature good running backs. This is sure to be a close game. I’m betting that the Jets eighth-ranked defense gets the job done here and Geno helps secure a win.

Bears over Ravens

I am not a believer in the Baltimore Ravens. The Bengals played horrible football and allowed the Ravens to walk all over them. Even with Jay Cutler absent from the lineup

Browns over Bengals

I’m really frustrated with the Andy Dalton because he can make the Bengals look really good or make them look really bad. I almost want to give this one to the Browns but I’m pretty sure Red Dalton will bounce back and beat the Browns this week.

Texans over Raiders

Case Keenum appears to be the real deal and I’m predicting he will lead the Texans to victory (finally!) against the Oakland Raiders. Ben Tate is going to run all over the Raiders and will make the team forget about Arian Foster being out. The Texans defense will need to limit Rashad Jennings as he is an underrated and dangerous runner.

Cardinals over Jaguars

Congratulations to the Jaguars on their first win of the season but the Cardinals are coming to town. Maurice Jones-Drew will be pressed to find any holes to run against the third-best run defense in the league. Larry Fitzgerald should finally break loose in this game which will be nice to see for a change.

Eagles over Redskins

I’m firmly in my seat and strapped into the Nick Foles bandwagon. It’s hard to argue against results and this guy is getting it done through the air. The Redskins are trending down in my opinion and I can’t figure what is going to help them get over the hump.

Lions over Steelers

The Lions are a playoff team but they have to keep proving they belong until January. The Steelers have battled back from their rough start at the beginning and are trying to finish their season with a respectable effort. Stafford must minimize his mistakes if they hope to bury the Steelers.

Falcons over Buccaneers

I was none too impressed with the Buccaneers win against the Dolphins. The Buccaneers handed the game to the Dolphins many times but Tannehill and the offense could not finish the deal. The Falcons have been struggling but even they will be able to subdue Tampa in this one.

Chargers over Dolphins

If the Dolphins can lose to the Buccaneers when they basically hand you the game in the fourth quarter, then the Dolphins can definitely can find a way to lose against the Chargers. Phillip Rivers is being very efficient with is passing and he will be tough to stop.

Saints over 49ers

Here’s why, the Saints not only lost to the 49ers IN Candlestick Park by the slimmest of margin the last time they faced but the Alex Smith bootleg arguable should have never been allowed to happen by the Saints defense. This team doesn’t look as good as the old 49ers team that one and the Saints have made some improvements on both sides of the ball.

Giants over Packers

Wow, this is a really tough match up to choose. I’m going with the Packers for the upset, if you want to call it that. Matt Flynn is back and that should make a difference against a dreadful New York team.

Seahawks over Vikings

Easy Seattle win here unless the Vikings pull out a miracle in Seattle.

Broncos over Chiefs

I believe that the Chiefs lack of ability to keep up with Peyton Manning will be the major contributing factor to them losing this game. The Broncos have flaws yes, but they score points at will.

Patriots over Panthers

Finally a Monday Night game we can all sit down and watch! Tommy Touchdown and Stevan Ridley are going to eat up some clock against the Panthers and come out with the win in this match up. The Panthers will compete though.
