Dallas did not play their best football but they have talented players on their offense. Rob Ryan did an excellent job of stuffing the Cowboys run game and take Dez Bryant out of the game. The Cowboys tried to make their defense by using a lot of motion the first couple of series, but it was clear Ryan was not fooled as they quickly went three and out several times.

Payton and Brees controlled the clock with runs from Pierre Thomas, Darren Sproles, and Mark Ingram. Brees utilized short passes, nickeling and diming his way down the field. The result was an exhausted Cowboys defense that allowed four touchdowns.
