Quicks Hits & Uh?

Nov 3, 2013; Foxborough, MA, USA; New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (12) congratulates wide receiver Danny Amendola (80) on scoring a touchdown during the first quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Gillette Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

400 Yard Passer Club: Tom Brady (432), Nick Foles (406), Ben Roethlisberger (400)

We touched on Nick Foles 7-touchdown performance, he joins the likes of these other quarterbacks that you may or may not have heard of:

  • Y.A. Tittle, 1962 (NYG vs. WASH)
  • Joe Kapp, 1969 (MINN vs. BAL Colts)
  • Sid Luckman, 1943 (CHI vs. NYG)
  • Adrian Burk, 1954 (PHI vs. WASH)
  • Peyton Manning, 2013 (DEN vs. BAL)
  • George Blanda, 1961 (HOU vs. NY Titans)

Bucs Rookie Mike James carved up the Seahawks defense on Sunday, running it 28 times for 158 yards (5.6 average), and was this week’s leading rusher. Sadly, it was nowhere near the Bucs rookie record set by Doug Martin last year against Oakland, when he ripped off 251.

The last time the Seahawks lost at CenturyLink Field (or at home)? December 24, 2011

The Steelers surrendered franchise highs on Sunday to the Patriots, giving up 55 points & 610 yards.

If the playoffs started this week, here’s how it would shape up (lots of chaos):

  • AFC: (1) KC, (2) NE, (3) IND, (4) CIN, (5) DEN, (6) NYJ
***Note: Patriots & Colts leapfrog Bengals, Jets climb to 6th***
  • NFC: (1) SEA, (2) NO, (3) DET, (4) DAL, (5) SF, (6) CAR
***Note: Lions leapfrog Packers, Panthers climb to 6th***
