It’s been a busy week on the injury front for the Saints, as they prepare to take on the Jets at the Meadowlands.
The good news? The injury report isn’t as bad as it was yesterday. The bad news? Malcolm Jenkins & Jahri Evans did not practice.
CB Keenan Lewis (Foot/Knee), LB David Hawthorne (Ankle), WR Kenny Stills (Knee), CB Rod Sweeting (Hip), DT Akiem Hicks (Knee), DE Cam Jordan (Ankle)
S Roman Harper (Knee), TE Jimmy Graham (Foot), DE Tom Johnson (Hip), S Kenny Vaccaro (Concussion/Back), WR Marques Colston (Knee), DE Tyrunn Walker (Knee)
DID NOT PRACTICE
S Malcolm Jenkins (Knee), G Jahri Evans (Hip)
In other news, linebacker Jonathan Vilma is getting healthier.
“He is doing well. He is receiving reps. It is just a matter of getting back into football playing shape. He is someone that is a quick study so he knows what we are doing.” -Coach Payton
Let’s also take this time to recognize that safety Roman Harper IS practicing again! Should Jenkins be unable to go, Harper practicing is a great sign for the Saints. Vaccaro & Hawthorne did not practice yesterday, but were able to today.
Also missing from this injury report? Mark Ingram. It’s one to watch, as we all ask the question, ‘Will he finally suit up Sunday, and what will he do?’
