Andy Dalton

Seriously, that was as great a performance I’ve seen from Andy Dalton as ever. Dalton torched the Jets secondary, as he tossed for 325 yards on 19 completions, and the big stat of 5 touchdowns. 4 of them went to wide receiver Marvin Jones (and the waiver wires exploded accordingly). Dalton has faced a good bit of criticism for his play at times, and this may have quieted those skeptics, as least for now. Great outing for the Bengals.

The Detroit Lions Final Drive

My goodness, how amazing was that finish? It’s the second straight time the Cowboys are done in at the hands of the Lions in the final minutes of play. I gladly chose the Lions in my pick’em, and I sure thought that they had a remote chance on the final drive after the Cowboys goofed by having an offensive holding penalty on 3rd & 14, which stopped the clock, and gave the ball back to the Lions with 1:02 left in the game. Stafford connected with Kris Durham for 40 yards at the Dallas 23, and then Calvin Johnson after for a 22 yard catch, down the Cowboys 1. Rather than stop the clock, Stafford would pull a ‘Marino-esque’ move of his own, and score the game winning touchdown. What a finish, what an effort.

Green Bay Packers

When you score on every single possession (the kneel down doesn’t count) you have in the game, that’s a sure way to be a winner. The Packers ensured they kept their stranglehold on the NFC North, for now.

Honorable Mention: Chiefs Keep Rolling & Stay Undefeated, Giants Resurging, Cardinals Beat Up on Falcons
