The Saints will be heading out tomorrow to Chicago due to the threat of Tropical Storm Karen.
The New Orleans Saints will travel to Chicago one day earlier than they usually would for a road trip for Sunday’s game against the Bears. Saints coach Sean Payton said the team will leave New Orleans on Friday to avoid any weather complications because of Tropical Storm Karen possibly hitting landfall Saturday.
Payton said the team will handle the adjustment like it has done in the past. Payton said the Saints will perform their Saturday walkthrough at a field somewhere near the team hotel, but it won’t take place at the Bears’ Soldier Field.
As far as Thursday’s injury report, it looks like this:
- Did Not Practice: Roman Harper (Knee), Lance Moore (Hand), Mark Ingram (Toe), Tyrunn Walker (Knee)
- Limited: Brodrick Bunkley (Calf), Keenan Lewis (Hip), Tom Johnson (Hamstring)
- Fully Practiced: Tim Lelito (Calf)
Moore wouldn’t elaborate on the details of his injury during Thursday’s media session, but he wasn’t wearing anything on his injured right hand like he was last week. Moore said he wanted to make sure his hand heals correctly since his hands are “his livelihood.”
It’ll be interesting to see if anyone doesn’t make the trip tomorrow for the team due to their respective injuries, however, none of them needs to be rushed back to the lineup if they aren’t fully ready to go. The Saints have this Sunday & next Sunday (Patriots) before a Bye Week.
