The New Orleans Saints made a big splash this offseason by bringing on former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Keenan Lewis as part of the defensive rebuilding process with Rob Ryan leading the charge.
Lewis had played well through the first three games of the season, but he left the Saints Monday Night Football game against the Miami Dolphins with an undisclosed injury per ESPN’s Mike Triplett:
It is horrible news for the Saints as Lewis is easily the Saints No. 1 corner. The team does not need him for the rest of the contest against the Dolphins, but if this is a nagging issue it could hurt the defense in a big way as the schedule continues to get tougher as the season progresses.
Keep it locked here as we will have the latest on Lewis’ injury as it happens.
