Who would have thought we would be here at this point? I’m sure some of us imagined it or felt it, but it’s reality. Welcome back to another edition of Keys to the Game!

Let’s start with some weekly power rankings for the Black & Gold:

  • ESPN: #3 (Previous Week: #8) +5
  • NFL.com: #4 (Previous Week: #8) +4
  • CBS Sports:  #4 (Previous Week: #5) +1
  • Fox Sports: #6 (Previous Week: #11) +5

Last week, the Saints offense finally delivered a more ‘what we’re used to seeing’ scoring outing, and the defense surrendered less than 300 total net yards, as they pummeled the Cardinals 31-7.

This week, there’s all sorts of reasons to be amped, as it’s Monday Night Football! The red hot Dolphins come to town for the first time since 2005 to face off in a battle of the unbeatens. This is the first of four of the Saints primetime games this season. I originally had this game ranked #9 on my Ranking the Saints Opponents article, and it defnitely has the potential to be even better.
