Two weeks have passed in the world of the NFC South and we already have a better idea of where each team stands. The Carolina Panthers are struggling, there’s a quarterback controversy in Tampa Bay with Josh Freeman and a host of other issues and the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints continue to surge ahead.

Rather than restrict ourselves to breaking down how the Saints have done though two weeks, let’s take a look at how the entire NFC South stacks up.

This is bogus. How can you put Tampa ahead of Carolina? I know this is splitting hairs in some ways, but Carolina has looked good and blown it. Tampa has just blown it.

Actually I would give them a tie for now…both have good defenses, both have blown opportunities…however as a saints fan i am more concerned with Carolina than Tampa…but not enough to rank one over the other right now…like Al said…too soon…I won’t be fully ready to crown my saints superbowl contenders till we’ve beat Arizona in passing, and stopped San Fran and Dallas…then I can crown us, till then I;m only confident of being 1-3rd seed of playoffs (our schedule is easier than San Fran and Seattle…in fact it may be the easiest in the NFC)…

Too early to make any predictions about any team being Superbowl contenders.
