I alluded to yesterday in my Keys to the Game.

It was a rollercoaster of emotions, but breathe easily Who Dat Nation, at least for today. Some parting items, we likely lost Patrick Robinson for the season, and that facial expression said it all (Chris Carr may receive a call this week).

Carr came into the NFL in 2005, where he went undrafted, and got his start with the Oakland Raiders. Last season, he only played three snaps with the Chargers, and has only seen action in 18 games since 2010. Carr will immediately insert himself into the lineup as a reserve cornerback, and he has a golden opportunity to get things going for himself.

This definitely doesn’t spell good news for Patrick Robinson, and in case you missed it Sunday, his reaction was heartbreaking. Nothing official has been said about his availability for the rest of the season, but surely you’ve seen enough ACL injuries to know one when you see one. It’s just another casualty to the many the Saints have already suffered this short season.

Robinson enters his final season as a Saint next season.
