Bucs Mental Mistakes Lack of Discipline Kill Them

Let’s face it, when Jimmy Graham got high-lowed yesterday, and we all cringed. Get your checkbook ready Ahmad Black. The Buccaneers were penalized 10 times yesterday, for a total of 118 yards (by the way, Josh Freeman only threw for 125 yards). Greg Schiano clearly doesn’t have a composed team. We even saw Vincent Jackson brush off one of the coaches when he was being talked to.

The sad part? These penalties didn’t lead to many Saints successes, but the penalty yards were quietly a huge MVP for the Saints yesterday.

Its odd to see the defense out-performing the offense. I can’t help but be a little concerned though. The Saints are averaging 1 defensive player per half of football being helped off of the field with an injury (not to mention all of the training cap injuries.) How long can we maintain a quality defense with this happening?

    • John Hendrix

Well Mike, the good news is that these younger players are responding. I think it speaks a lot to Rob Ryan. We definitely can’t afford to lose any other players on defense, but at least the guys we have brought in behind the players (Haralson, Richardson, Carr) are seasoned & are ready.

As you said a win is a win. There are no extra points for winning by 5 TD’s or by 1 point. The win goes to the team with the most points at the end of the game.

Yes sir. It’s ugly, but we’ll take it. I mean think about the Falcons last season. How many of their games did they win in the last minute that they shouldn’t have?
