Garrett Hartley is the kicker for the New Orleans Saints. You don’t have to love it or like it, but respect it. Hartley beat out Mexico prospect Jose Maltos. We know Hartley struggled early in the year last season, but came on strong during the middle of the year. Hartley could have been replaced easily by any veteran kicker out there that you’ve been seeing on headlines, but he hasn’t. The big key here, don’t leave any points on the board. Against the Falcons, you can’t. Hartley will be called upon at several points, so he has to make them count.

As far as Pro Bowl Thomas Morstead, you’ll never ever hear me worry about his play, unless we see him making more tackles on Special Teams. That’d be all I would be concerned about. Stan Kwan was brought in to help with the Punt & Kick teams, and I really would be interested to see how things go without Courtney Roby. I would have to guess that either Andy Tanner, Rafael Bush, or another corner would step up to play gunner. The Saints return game will likely feature Sproles/Cadet again.
