Charles Brown Officially Starting LT

Jeff Duncan of announced yesterday from Sean Payton that Charles Brown officially will start as the team’s starting Left Tackle.

According to Sean Payton,

“I thought once we got into pads and got into the second and third week of training camp you’d begin to see this position competition a little bit clearer,” Payton said. “I think that’s been the case with us right now.

“I would say he’s (Brown) certainly ahead of the other guys.”

The news is definitely encouraging, as there were a good bit of skeptics regarding Brown. I always touched on the fact that it was his job to lose. We can all rest a little bit (mainly Sean Payton) knowing that Brown will protect the blind side for Drew Brees. Be sure to still keep an eye on Terron Armstead & Jason Smith, especially in terms of development for Armstead.

Are you happy with Brown as LT? Let us know!
