Colston & Robinson Return from PUP, Other Moves

It was a busy day yesterday, as the Saints had a good bit of moves happen. As per ESPN article.

While Marques Colston returned from the physically unable to perform list, the Saints signed six-year NFL veteran Steve Breaston and re-signed rookie free agent Brent Leonard.

For the Saints, the additions of Breaston & Leonard mean that some had to go. Jose Maltos, a kicker prospect from Mexico, and Chris Givens, a wide receiver who has never seemed to gain his full health to play.

“Breaston’s a guy who can run and has got a lot of snaps in this league,” Payton said. “His workout went well. We’ll see how he does.”

Patrick Robinson also practiced for the first time yesterday, after his arthroscopic knee procedure.

Expect a good deal of roster shuffling upcoming. But it’s great to see Colston & Robinson back in the lineup!
