New Orleans Saints training camp is underway and if you have not noticed, we’ve been bringing you quick-hitting updates as they happen during practices and drills.
Still, we thought it wise to get back to the Who Dat Dish when we can, especially before a major day of practice here Monday. Expect our coverage the entire week to be thorough, but let’s catch up before more news breaks.
Per NOLA.com’s Katherine Terrell:
There was something palpable in the air Sunday morning at the New Orleans Saints’ facility. Maybe it was the crowd or the slightly cooler (less hot) weather, or maybe it was the players’ finally having a chance to vent out the frustration of last season.
After months of individual workouts and non-contact drills, Saints players pulled on their pads for their third practice of training camp, marking an unofficial beginning to the offseason for some.
Per NOLA.com’s Mike Triplett:
The Saints’ inside linebacker was clearly amped for the first physical practice of the summer. He started strong in the first full-contact drill — a 9-on-7 run drill — with two nice tackles against tailback Mark Ingram. On the second one, he penetrated quickly into the backfield to wrap up Ingram right after the handoff.
