We’re back after what we hope was a very special 4th of July for all of you. Today on the Who Dat Dish we’ll dive into some of the latest speculation and rumors as we slowly inch our way toward New Orleans Saints training camp.
Let’s take a look.
New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton is moonlighting this week as Ryan Palmer’s caddie at the Greenbrier Classic.
With the start of NFL training camp later this month, Payton said he was planning to spend a week relaxing at The Greenbrier resort in West Virginia. One thing led to another, and Payton ended up agreeing to help Palmer, who gave his regular PGA Tour caddie the week off.
“It’s pretty cool to hear the mindset of one of the great coaches in the game, Super Bowl winning coach,” Palmer said.
After two days of participating in practice rounds and pro-am events, Payton said Wednesday he realized “this isn’t a vacation.”
Per Samantha McLain:
The New Orleans Saints’ third round draft choice (89th overall) in the 2012 draft will use his size and strength to contribute to the defensive rotation and compete for playing time this upcoming season.
The 6-foot-5, 324-pound defensive tackle appeared in 14 games and recorded 32 tackles, one pass defense and one forced fumble in 2012. He recorded a season high of eight tackles (five solo) vs. Kansas City on Sept. 23. His most extensive action of the season was at Denver on Oct. 28, recording six tackles (four solo) and one forced fumble.
