Who Dat Dish: New Orleans Saints News, Rumors And Links For 6/9

Sundays in the offseason mean not much is happening in the world of the New Orleans Saints, which is obviously the complete opposite  when the regular season rolls around. With that being said, there are still a few thing we can take a look at to quench your thirst for Saints news.

Let’s take a look.

ESPN Holds a Saints Chat and Reveals Some Interesting Info

Per Pat Yasinskas:

Marc (Metairie, LA.): Pat, which four linebackers do you see for the Saints will be in the starting lineup come the season opener against the Falcons?

PY: My early take on that is [Victor] Butler, [Will] Smith, [Jonathan] Vilma and [Curtis] Lofton.

Matt (Pensacola): What are your thoughts on the Saints after seeing them this week?

PY: Was amazed at how many different looks they were using on defense. Defensive attitude seemed much more aggressive. If they can just be decent on defense, they should be able to get back to where they were a couple years ago.

ESPN Says Kenny Vaccaro Has Seen Time at Corner As Well As Safety

Per Pat Yasinskas:

Rookie Kenny Vaccaro got some first-team reps in minicamp at safety and nickel back. Veteran safeties Roman Harper and Malcolm Jenkins remain on the roster, and there were some sets in which the Saints had all three players on the field at the same time. I think defensive coordinator Rob Ryan will try to play to the strengths of his players, and you could see a situation where Harper plays on obvious running downs, and Vaccaro plays on obvious passing downs.

We Ask If Mark Ingram Is on His Last Chance.

We Argue Will Smith and Jonathan Vilma Belong.
