New Orleans Saints OTAs were finally open to the the general public Tuesday so you know that means there is a wealth of information to go over.
We’ll do just that here as we talk Rob Ryan, rookies turning heads and more.
Let’s take a look.
Per NOLA.com’s Nakia Hogan:
New Orleans Saints cornerback Keenan Lewis, who missed the team’s minicamp workout on Tuesday after spending a night in a local hospital due to stomach pains, tweeted on Tuesday night that he indeed plans to make an appearance at Saints camp on Wednesday.
“Sorry to all my fans, who came out to mini camp to see the team and I,” Lewis said via Twitter. “I know I was not there because I was hospitalized. No matter how I feel I would make an appearance (tomorrow). Who Dat all the way!!”
A source said Lewis condition wasn’t too serious but doctors wanted to keep Lewis for observations.
Per NOLA.com’s Katherine Terrell:
“We will look at the film, (where) it will be easier for me to just go in there,” Payton said. “I thought Jarred Fayson made a couple of good plays and we will see how they do.”
The 6 foot, 213 pound Fayson had a 30-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Luke McCown during team drills, and several receptions during the morning session of practice.
Per NOLA.com’s Mike Triplett:
“The way the game is played nowadays, you have to have multiplicity,” Ryan said. “Anybody that’s followed me (knows) we were No. 3 in the league 10 weeks into the season until every single player on the team was hurt and I got fired. We should have been No. 1 but that’s OK. But I learned. You can never have enough good players.”
