With the 144th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select wide receiver Kenny Stills out of Oklahoma. Stills is a 6 foot, 194 lb wide receiver that is a great addition to the Saints receiving core.
The junior wide receiver out of Oklahoma has been very productive throughout his three year college career. This past season, Stills had 82 receptions and 959 receiving yards with 11 touchdowns. In his sophomore season, he had 61 receptions for 849 receiving yards with eight touchdowns. Finally, in his freshman season, Stills had 61 receptions for 786 receiving yards with five touchdowns.
His 4o yard dash time was 4.38 seconds and could be a serious special teams player this season coming up. With the Saints already having Marques Colston and Lance Moore as their number one and two receivers, Stills could easily be competing with Courtney Roby and Chris Givens for their positions. Some weaknesses of Stills’ game is that he lacks size as a wide receiver, he is not physical, drop passes, and has maturity issues.
According to NFL.com, they compared Kenny Stills to Andre Roberts, who is a wide receiver and punt returner for the Arizona Cardinals. In his rookie season, he caught 24 receptions for 307 yards and had two touchdowns but also was key for the Cardinals in the kick and punt return game.
