Brent Grimes

Another NFC South opponent, Grimes suffered a torn Achilles tendon and was lost for the 2012 season.  The talented corner debuted for the Atlanta Falcons in 2007 and has caused teams fits ever since.

He has registered 254 tackles, 54 passes defended, and 13 interceptions in his career with the Dirty Birds and recently experienced some crowding in what was once was his secondary with the addition of Asante Samuel.

Not to mention the fact that Grimes was wanting the Falcons to deliver a big contract to him for 2012 but instead got the franchise tag.  It’s unlikely that they’ll do that again and could let him try free agency.  The Saints need to take a shot at getting Grimes to join his former teammate linebacker Curtis Lofton in New Orleans.
