With the New Orleans Saints pretty much out of the playoff hunt, they will be looking to the next season to see about some prospective talent. With an announcement Saturday from the Saints, it appears there are a few that will get their shot on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The club announced today that safety Malcolm Jenkins and offensive tackle Charles Brown have been placed on injured reserve ending their season. Jenkins was said to have a hamstring injury while Brown has been battling a knee injury.
Practice squad players, safety Jericho Nelson and guard Ricky Henry, have been activated to take the two active roster spots vacated by Jenkins and Brown.
With Jenkins down expect to see safety Isa Abdul-Quddus take his starting spot as he did last Sunday against the New York Giants when the starting safety left the game with the injury that sent him to injured reserve.
