At the initial injury report given on Friday by interim head coach Joe Vitt said there would be only two New Orleans Saints that would miss Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. That list has grown to three today.
Vitt initially said that offensive tackle Charles Brown(knee) and cornerback Corey White(knee) would not play. He cautioned that White wasn’t really suffering a setback with his injury, but that he would be hesitant to place him in a game due to the amount of practice time he’s missed.
A surprise scratch came today and was reported by the Saints official Twitter account. The message read:
Chris Ivory has been added to the injury report with a hamstring injury. His status for Sunday’s game is Doubtful
This is unfortunate due to the fact that the Giants had a hard time defending the run in their last game against the Washington Redskins less than a week ago.
