Saints could get some playoff dream help with a win and losses by other teams in the hunt

As the New Orleans Saints go into the game today against the Oakland Raiders, they will try to keep the small flame burning for another trip to the postseason.  But they’ll need some help in that department.

A win would boost the Saints to a 5-5 season record helping them nip the heels of several teams in the playoff hunt as well.  Right now the Saints are behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers(5-4) and the Minnesota Vikings(6-4).

The Vikings are a projected 7th seed and the Bucs an 8th seed.  While the Vikings are currently on a bye week, the Bucs are matched against the Carolina Panthers.

The Buccaneers are currently trailing the Panthers 14-10 close to halftime and although it may hurt Who Dat’s to do it, they may want to cheer “Yes We Cam” since the Panthers are less likely to make a run into the postseason and the loss would help the Saints if they can win in Oakland.
