According to Jeff Duncan of NOLA.com, the New Orleans Saints have made a roster move on the practice squad with the return of general manager Mickey Loomis.

The club released cornerback Nick Hixson and re-signed cornerback A.J. Davis yesterday.  Hixson was a 2012 undrafted free agent from Hillsdale College who appeared in three preseason games making two tackles and had one pass defended.

Davis was also a 2012 undrafted free agent from from Jacksonville State who did well while in college.  He showed promise during training camp and appeared in the first two preseason games.

He registered two tackles but injured his ankle and was waived on August 18th.  Davis was recently brought back in for a workout with the Saints in what appears now to be a precursor to bringing him back.
