New Orleans Saints RB Darren Sproles on injured list for Monday’s game versus Eagles

Saints running back and punt return specialist Darren Sproles will not be playing in Monday night’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.  Sproles has suffered a hand injury and has had to go under the knife.

Shortly after Friday’s team practice, offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael announced to the media the extent of the injury that Sproles sustained.  No one really even knows how or when Sproles was injured, leaving it as a giant mystery.

New Orleans Saints running back Pierre Thomas will start on Monday night followed by Mark Ingram.   Without the flexability that Sproles gives quarterback Drew Brees, we will lkely see a bunch more action from tight end Jimmy Graham and wide receiver Lance Moore.
