After getting an extended three day rest, the New Orleans Saints will return to the film room and practice field to prepare for their upcoming Monday night game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Saints were given the huge rest period since they played the Denver Broncos on a Sunday night and didn’t get back into New Orleans until the early morning.

Hopefully the time off has given the team a chance to reflect on their recent performance against the Broncos which was the most embarrassing one in recent memory.

While the Eagles have had their struggles as well, the Saints will need to come up with a plan to stop quarterback Michael Vick who isn’t afraid to run when he has to.  The Saints have had struggles containing mobile quarterbacks when they faced Robert Griffin III and Cam Newton.

The offense as well didn’t look as crisp as everyone knows them to be and had an issue with dropped passes in critical situations and quarterback Drew Brees fighting to stay upright.  And let’s don’t forget the run game for the Saints or better yet, the lack of it.

That is the main part of the offense is the running game but the New Orleans Saints has refuse to use their running game 90% of the time which is much needed.
