In a post yesterday, it was mentioned that the New Orleans Saints had free agent wide receivers Jason Hill and Deon Butler in for a workout. You can now add three more to that list.
Reports are that Brian Robiskie, Preston Parker, and Rashied Davis also came in for a workout as well along with Hill and Butler.
Robiskie was a second-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. He was highly regarded going into the draft and while with the Browns he 39 receptions for 441 yards and 3 touchdowns.
He was released in November of 2011 where he was claimed off waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Robiskie was almost non-existent with the Jaguars and released on September 10, 2012.
Parker was a 2010 undrafted free agent who was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the past two seasons. For his career he has 40 receptions for 522 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Davis played in the Arena Football League for the San Jose SaberCats(2002-2005) before signing with the Chicago Bears in 2005. He then was with the Detroit Lions for the 2011 season and then with the Bears again for the offseason in 2012. He has 92 receptions for 1,095 yards and 5 touchdowns for his career.
Why the Saints are focusing on offensive weapons and not any to help on defense could leave fans nervous that one wide receiver for the Saints could be injured since Marques Colston is dealing with a foot injury and Devery Henderson recently had a concussion.
