After final roster cuts were made by the New Orleans Saints, undrafted rookie Travaris Cadet joins a jam-packed backfield.
Cadet joins a team with four quality running backs including Darren Sproles, Pierre Thomas, Mark Ingram and Chris Ivory.
Cadet made it pretty much unthinkable for the Saints to cut him after having a wondrous preseason debut.
The Saints have shown that a team in the NFL can never have too many talented running backs.
As we all know injuries occur almost at the blink of an eye, and now the Saints can feel more confident heading into the regular season with five healthy, talented runners.
Cadet, the Saints newest running back, had 30 receptions for a league high 246 receiving yards.
He also added two receiving touchdowns and 132 rushing yards to go along with 282 combined yards on punt and kick returns.
Saints fans should finally exhale knowing that both Ivory and Cadet were kept. Both are talented running backs would have been taken by other teams in the NFL hungry for some depth.
